Our Pig Partnership
We couldn’t be more excited to announce we’ve teamed up with our good friends at The Pig who champion local independent growers. Ask for a glass of house fizz when you next visit any of the PIGs and you’ll sample our delightful Northbrook Classic Cuvee and Rose
Vintage On The Vine is an antiques styling and selling shop that celebrates the naturally timeworn and unique. Focusing on a country-rustic aesthetic with largely European furniture and decor - we love items that ooze a certain lived-in charm.
Amelia is an artist and potter working from her studio at Northbrook.
She draws inspiration for her work from a wry observation of the ordinary and a love of nature. She uses the shapes and colours of the countryside to create charming and joyful “scenes” influenced by the changing seasons along with a wonderful narrative quality.
Amelia says “Living and working among the Hampshire countryside is a never-ending source of delight and I try to convey some of the joy I find into my work”
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a charity that protects wildlife and wild places in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and local seas. The HIWWT has provided advice and guidance on the areas of the Northbrook Vineyard and Estate that have been set aside and planted to increase biodiversity and provide habitats for wildlife. A programme of wildlife surveys and monitoring has been embarked upon to enable us to measure the increased number and diversity of species that we wish to attract to the estate.
The partnership extends to theJames Tuttiett Charitable Trust by providing financial support to the HIWWT which allows it to continue its invaluable work in the preservation and conservation of the habitat and wildlife of the region
"The James Tuttiett Charitable Trust has enabled work to bring more land into conservation management. In addition, they have provided early support for ambitious projects such as beaver introduction on the Isle of Wight. They are helping drive real step changes in the conservation of our region."
Debbie Tann CEO of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust
The South Downs Trust is the official charity of the South Downs National Park.
Both James Tuttiett and Amelia, his wife, have served as founding trustees of the South Downs Trust and the JTCT has provided financial support, initially with matched funding to establish an endowment.
Founded in 2011 the James Tuttiett Charitable Trust has a mission to protect and enhance the UK’s wildlife and habitats alongside supporting Hampshire led projects.
At Northbrook we allow nature to be our guide and foster the same principles as the Tuttiett Charitable Trust; to protect and enhance biodiversity through complementary planting and sustainable practices, whilst supporting the community. This grassroots approach combined with modern innovation, ensures our vineyard is abundant with outstanding grapes. We work in harmony with nature allowing the native flora, fauna and wildlife to flourish.
